HRS Network Development in Japan

JHyM was established to accelerate deployment of hydrogen refueling stations in Japan, which will contribute hydrogen and FCV to realize a sustainable society. JHyM aims to deploy 80 stations in PhaseⅠby fiscal year 2021. JHyM intends to lead the way in achieving a hydrogen-based society.

Joined Toyota Motor Corp. in 1984. Mr. Sugawara has wide range of experiences in the public relations, engaged in media relation and policy planning of the government for energy area from a comprehensive viewpoint of automobile industry. Mr. Sugawara was made a director of Corporate Citizenship Div., engaged in regional issues concerning environment and mobility, and in 2014 he worked for establishing the Toyota Mobility Fund. He has extensive knowledge and experience toward building Next-generation mobility society. Appointed to current position in 2018.

Dr. Chang Wei is President and CEO of National Institute of Clean-and-Low-Carbon Energy (NICE), the corporate research arm for China Energy Group, one of the world largest energy companies. At NICE, Dr. Wei leads about 700 scientists globally (China, Europe and US), conducting advanced research in energy areas including clean coal application, performance materials, environment technologies, distributed power and hydrogen energy. Prior to his current role, Dr. Wei was an executive at General Electric company where he worked for almost 20 years, most recently he was responsible for the global water R&D at GE Global Research.
