Policies and Initiatives to Promote Offshore Wind Power Energy in Japan

In order to promote the offshore wind power energy in Japan, this presentation shows the policies and initiatives of Ports and Harbours Bureau of MLIT in cooperation with METI.

Challenges for Offshore Wind Power Projects

Offshore wind power projects are expected to expand in the future. This section introduces the our efforts to meet the demands of electric power companies, national governments, port administrators, insurance companies, etc., as well as our SEP vessels, CP-8001, which are indispensable for offshore wind power projects.
