Advanced Technology of Anode Materials for Lithium-ion Battery

As the market for lithium ion batteries has expanded rapidly, especially with the development of xEVs, novel anode materials are needed. This presentation will discuss the features of various anode materials and advanced technologies that can enhance anode capacity, charge/discharge rate, and other key performance indicators.

Graduated from Osaka University in 2001 (Master of Science). Joined Kawasaki steel (present JFE steel) in 2001, JFE chemical in 2006. Have been involved in the development of anode materials for LIB since joining the company.

The Electrolytes for the Lithium Ion Battery: Development Overview and Outlook

As the LIB applications expands to xEV, various kinds of performance improvement are demanded, for higher capacity, longer life, and higher input / output etc.. In order to realize those performances, the electrolyte requires an advanced and versatile function.
This presentation reports the electrolyte development on the technology overview and its outlook.

The Latest Technology Solutions of Separator Materials for Li Battery Challenges

A microporous film was obtained from gel sheets of high molecular weight PEs in 1984 and was used as separator in the world's first commercial LIB by Sony in 1991. The separator improvements are required for longer life and safer and will outline the basic knowledge and the latest technologies.
