Battery Evolution for a Sustainable Future

In 1981 joined NEC. From 1999 began development of lithium-ion batteries. In 2007 was appointed Executive Vice President of Automotive Energy Supply Corporation (AESC) on its establishment as a joint venture between Nissan and NEC. In 2019 was appointed Executive Vice President of Envision AESC Group to oversee its marketing and sales divisions.

Battery Research for Sustainability in Transportation - Mercedes-Benz Perspective

In the near future, a large battery system will be part of virtually any vehicle's powertrain on the road. Even fuel cell vehicles, trucks and buses are no exception. In an effort to improve sustainability from various angles of view, important research is performed at Mercedes-Benz R&D.

Tobias Glossmann has more than 18 years of experience in advanced battery research and development at Daimler and he has a background in chemistry as well as in engineering. His work includes execution of research projects, collaborations and technology evaluation with commercial and academic partners of Mercedes-Benz R&D North America. His research interest today includes interfaces and material properties in batteries and sensors, computational chemistry methods, redox-active organic materials, Li-metal electrodes and Li-sulfur batteries.

This is a report of Japan EV Club activities 25 years to disseminate EV. Those are making original EV, holding EV test driving, EV races, EV rally, giving a challenge of range at 1 charge, one lap of japan by quick charge. We got Guinness record.
