Development of New Battery Manufacturing Technology Using Inkjet Printing

Ricoh succeeded in fabricating the main components of the lithium-ion battery to inkjet ink. As a result, a new battery manufacturing technology based on inkjet printing has been realized. We aim to create a world where IoT and wearables that require batteries of various shapes can be easily realized by digital printing. This report describes ideas, development issues, and some example applications.

After joining the Ricoh Institute for Future Technology in 2016, He is working as an Executive Engineer of the Innovation / R & D Division. He is engaged in the development of battery manufacturing technology by printing.

Highly Safe and High Energy Density LIB with Less Volatile Electrolyte

Hitachi has focused on developments of technologies to solve major issues of LIBs: safety, energy density, and capacity. In this presentation, recent progress on the development of a high capacity (100Wh) and high energy density (600 Wh/L) LIBs by employing less volatile electrolyte for ensuring their safety will be presented.
