Demonstration Test Using Fuel Cell Test Vehicle

"Series FV-E991" is going to be the world's first fuel cell train using 70MPa high-pressure hydrogen. Demonstration tests will begin in FY2021, and data for practical use, such as optimization of fuel cell technology and the investigation of the technical development items related to ground facilities.

Beyond Batteries: Extending UAV Flight Time with Hydrogen Fuel Cells

UAV flight time has not kept pace with technological advances due to the limitations of traditional battery sources. To keep up to speed with the growing requirements of the commercial UAV industry, UAVs need to offer longer flight times and increased range. Longer flight time coupled with quick refuelling opens up commercial possibilities for a number of UAV applications, including offshore platform inspection, search and rescue, high quality aerial photography, precision agriculture and much more. By replacing the battery with a zero emission, zero vibration fuel cell power module, fleet operators can expect to see 3x the flight time of traditional batteries. This increased flight time allows operators to fly for longer with less downtime, thus maximising productivity. The clear advantages fuel cells can offer the commercial UAV market are already recognised within the fuel cell industry. As commercial deployments continue to mature, there are still a number of challenges to be overcome. As the market leader for lightweight fuel cell power for UAVs, Intelligent Energy will discuss progress and the barriers to be overcome for widespread industry adoption and commercialisation.

On the FC Car Driven Electric Boat and the Future Spread Potential

There are many fuel cell boats. The key issue for the spread of FC boats is just the supply method of hydrogen, not the efficiency and the life. Our newly developed FC boat which solves the issue by loading a FC car into a boat has been demonstrated via an examination of the Japan MLIT.
