He joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) in 1989. He was engaged in research and development of Radio Communication System ex. PHS (Personal Handy Phone system). He joined NTT DOCOMO, INC. in January 1999 and he was engaged in development of PHS location system. He was Managing Director of Service and Solution department from 2012 to 2014 and he was engaged in development of photo cloud service, voice concierge service and multipurpose dialog platform.
He was Managing Director of Service Innovation Department in 2014 and he was engaged in development of AI technology and service ex. Natural-Language Dialog Platforms.
He became Senior Vice President and took positions as General Manager of R&D Strategy Department and General Manager of Innovation Management Department in June 2017.
Since June 2017, he has been in charge of promoting the creation of innovative services through a new service development framework.
Since July 2017, he has served concurrently as a director of NTT DOCOMO Ventures Corp.

Akira Sakakibara is the Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft Japan, and the President at Microsoft Development. Before joining Microsoft, he spent almost 30 years in IBM Global Business Services and IBM Research as an IBM Distinguished Engineer. One of his current responsibilities is for solving Japan's national issues by using IT including AI. He is a member of ACM, IEEE Computer Society and IPSJ.

Under the rapid change in technology, people are required to change proactively. According to scientific knowledge of happiness, it has been clarified that the positive energy of the mind (called "psychological capital") that allows us to discover our own way to face difficulties and to step forward is the foundation of sustained happiness and fulfillment. So sustained happiness cannot be obtained by the temporary positive emotions. We need to increase this psychological energy in a way that fits our time. The latest technology draws a positive mind and creates an autonomous relationship, which can transform the entire enterprise in line with management policy. This talk will cover the whole picture of this.

Kazuo Yano has pioneered research on quantifying the happiness with advanced AI. He has applied over 350 patents and his papers are cited by over 2500 papers. His book, "The Invisible Hand of Data," is cited as one top-10 business books of 2014.

Roger Barga is General Manager, AWS Robotics and Autonomous Services at Amazon Web Services. Roger was previously General Manager and Director of Engineering for the Amazon Kinesis data streaming services. He is also an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, where he is a lecturer in the Data Science and Machine Learning programs. Roger holds a PhD in Computer Science from Oregon Institute of Technology. Barga holds over 30 patents, he has published over 100 peer-reviewed technical papers and book chapters, and authored a book on predictive analytics.

Toshiba announced its NextPlan in November 2018, declaring that they will make a change to a CPS technology enterprise towards 2030. For the last 10 years, cyber companies have been cultivating huge corporate value by collecting information through cyber to cyber. These companies are moving towards to the physical security side. Toshiba is trying to offer corporate value that these cyber companies have cultivated by utilizing information that comes from the physical security side. I will get into details of this strategy by presenting concrete examples.
