In recent years, all-solid-state LIBs have been attracting attention as power sources for electric vehicles and IoT. In addition to achieving ultimate safety by using non-flammable inorganic solid electrolytes, a significant increase in energy/power density can be expected by utilizing high heat resistance in the design. In this presentation, the recent R&D trend of all solid-state LIBs will be explained.

As next-generation storage devices, the practical application of solid-state batteries (SSBs) is approaching. Rapid rechargeable sulfide SSBs are expected for EVs, and chemically stable oxide SSBs for IoT and wearable applications. In this presentation, I will introduce the development of oxide SS LIBs and other small batteries suitable for similar applications.
