How Digital Product Passports will Enable a Circular Economy
Mesbah Sabur
Founder

CIRCULARISE

See More Details▼

<Details>

Digital Product Passports aim to gather data on a product and its supply chain and share it across entire value chains so all actors, including consumers, have a better understanding of the materials and products they use and their embodied environmental impact.

The digital product passports initiative is part of the proposed Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and one of the key actions under the Circular Economy Action Plan.

<Speaker Profile>

Circularise is using blockchain to create a platform for sharing data across supply chains. The ambition is to improve transparency so that companies can move toward more circular production processes, starting with the plastics sector.

Mesbah Sabur (Founder) got his MSc. in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology. From the age of 19, Mesbah started co-founding several startups and combined that work with his studies. He became fascinated with circular economy and has been a passionate advocate ever since; for example, during his role as project leader for one of the largest garment hanger manufacturers in the world, Mainetti. Through his experience as an industrial design engineer, he was able to work for top Hong Kong-based companies and experience many phases of the supply chain first-hand, such as manufacturing.
